I began my journey into event planning in 2000 in Mystic, CT. While living in Connecticut, I met a talented and creative woman named Deb Dempsey, a former marketing executive turned event planner, who owns a company based out of Mystic called
A Gala Affair. My life changed the day when she asked if I would assist her on an upcoming event. It didn't take long to discover I had an undeniable passion for event planning and design, so it wasn't long before we became partners.
As the years went by, I learned from this exceptionally creative and talented woman while developing experience and expertise in event planning and design. During this time I was also working on a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science with a focus on ecology and soils. While running soil analysis for EPA funded grants and going to classes and labs, I was also working on events. I knew that I really enjoyed event planning, but I also had a passion for soil and the environment. I had an important decision to make.
As you like events became the answer: Starting a company of my own so I can continue with my love of designing while also utilizing my experience, knowledge and passion for the environment. With years of experience in event coordinating and design from working on weddings and large events, I am able to utilize my education and now specialize in green events. A perfect marriage of my passions.
